No politician wants to risk votes (because, let's face it, they're not in it for the good of humanity are they?) but hopefully they will support change so they can claim to be the instigators of a new social paradigm of environmental awareness. In reality, they're as baffled as the mainstream media about anything vaguley technical, scientific or even rational.
